UltimateBet Poker, which is one of two rooms on the Cereus Poker Network, had its domain name seized by the US Government in a crackdown on American facing online poker sites in April 2011. Also seized at that time were the domains of Absolute Poker, the other room using Cereus software, and the top two US poker rooms, Poker Stars and Full Tilt Poker.

UltimateBet Poker (also called UB) moved to a .eu web address and continued operating, even allowing their existing US players to continue to play on their site, but not allowing any new US players to sign up.

However, since the Black Friday shut down, UltimateBet has not been paying out to their players. Very few cashouts have been honoured since April, and that even applies to non American players who should in theory have no trouble getting their money.

Obviously, with the massive drop in player numbers since April, there is not enough revenue being generated by the site to pay the players. Regardless of the fact that the players money should not have been used to operate the site, and should have been kept separated from the site and there fore always been available for withdrawal much like a bank, the reality is that if the money was there it is most likely that the poker site would pay the players in order to stay in business.

At this time (July 2011) Ultimate Bet (UB) is not paying their players. Any money deposited into this poker room will not be returned to you. Do not deposit there.
